It was a nice day for a walk today, foggy at ground level and the sun was trying to break through but not very successfully. So we walked up the Wrekin, a local hill, in search of an inversion. We had been there before on the last day of the year 2008 when the fog was thick on the ground and in search of misty trees. Once we reached a certain height we were met by a stunning inversion where the skies are clear and bright above the fog. It was a bit strange today, to the south of the hill it was thick fog below and to the north it was relatively clear. It’s always a great feeling, quite awesome, to be above the clouds and clear skies.
